To Beta? Or Not to Beta?
A conundrum, if you will.
To Beta? Or not to Beta? That is the question!
Windows Insider Preview Builds (Beta, Dev and Canary Channel releases) give you the opportunity to experience upcoming changes and new features before they are publicly available, but is it worth the risk? Along with the new features and changes, can often come issues with stability, 3rd party app support, and sometimes new features and changes don't function as intended, or at all.
The choice to use, or not to use preview builds is completely up to you! If stability and support are more important to you than new features, then public channel releases would likely suit you best. If you would prefer to experience new changes and features before they become publicly available, at the risk of stability and support, Windows Insider releases are likely something worth exploring.
The advice I would give after spending the past week testing out the latest Dev and Beta Builds of Windows 11 23H2, is if you're interested in using a Dev or Beta Build, test it in a Virtual Machine, or secondary PC if possible first. If you find it runs well, and has the support that you need, then it should be fine to install on your primary PC, and will give you a chance to preview Windows 11 23H2's new features and changes!
